Beilen Hervormde kerk
Before 1840: The organ was originally built for the Broederkerk in Groningen, probably by J.W. Timpe.
1840: The organ was sold to Beilen and placed there by B. Kerckhoff.
1862: Complete renewal by Petrus van Oekelen. All the pipework, sliderchest and
action are from him. He added the two pipefields to the left and to the right.
The middle part of the case might be from Timpe. In the interior of the organ
you can see that the case has been enlarged. Between the C- and the Cis wind
chest there is a distance of 1.5 metres. The case suggests an organ with a free
pedal, but there is only one manual.
1939: Repairs by Neuhauser of Assen
1967: Restoration by Flentrop. Since 1862 the organ had not been changed.
